Pinoy Geek [dot] org is a community driven site created in order to have a central discussion area for Pinoys around the world who are tech savvy… or a geek. The community aims to help and interact with one another in order to make the life of Pinoys more technologically inclined.
The site and forum was created March 2007 and is administered by Gerald Cortez in San Diego California. The site is powered by AN Hosting, Wordpress, and SimpleMachines.
Pinoy:
Pinoy is a demonym used by Filipinos for their compatriots in the Philippines and around the world. Filipinos usually refer to themselves informally as Pinoy (feminine: Pinay), which is formed by taking the last four letters of the word ‘Pilipino’ and adding the diminutive suffix -y.
Geek:
an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity; a geek is an individual who is fascinated by knowledge and imagination, usually electronic or virtual in nature.
