Microsoft obviously knows that Linux is better. They just have to protect their monopoly. They have lied before, and continue to do so, but as you can see, they still don’t believe what they tell the world.

Yeah, Microsoft is not using Linux. The other comments are correct. Akamai is a bandwidth and content provider that Microsoft is contracting for their download servers (check the screen shot).

I doubt they have any control over what their providers use.

wow. you are right. and i also stumbled upon this : myspace is using f**king windows server yet, facebook uses linux. WTF. (another reason to switch from myspace to Facebook) So not you can call Microsoft and its people …HIPPOCRITES.

PS: google, youtube and Gmail all use LINUX. (so much for htose f**king windows buffs “windows runs the world. F**k you.

even if akamai is using linux and not microsoft, still microsoft wants to host their site in a linux server w/c means linux is better than microsoft

google uses freeBSD, which is a unix-like variant, parallel to the linux development kernel, and mySQL, an open source database management app.

there has been linux vs. microsoft debates all over that never ends to an analytical result.

for me, microsoft os’s are for the end-user and linux is for administrators with mission-critical, intensive and stable tasks like database, file servers, web servers.

security will always be an issue because no code is uncrackable, imho.
